Hi there! My name is Karen. I am 53 years old and have been working in the fitness business since 2011. I have several fitness and wellness certifications and hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Wellness. I am currently working on a Master's degree in Fitness and Wellness Management from SUNY Plattsburgh. I am also working on 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and wellcoach certification.
My goal is to educate and inspire women using only researched and scientifically proven FACTS - not hype and not the latest trends and fads. I am not here to sell anything - except sound, free information!
I will offer personal training, online fitness classes, health coaching and wellcoaching in the future, but for now let's just learn about aging gracefully and slowly and use this as a format for social support and personal growth.
I believe that YOU are you're own best doctor! ESPECIALLY these days! I intend to blog on a wide variety of topics, all relating to the seven dimensions of wellness. If we, as older adults, practice moderation and commitment to our overall wellness, we give ourselves a fighting chance in the aging process.
AdagioAging - combines my two passions: Music and Wellness.
Adagio in music is defined as: a slow speed, a slow movement or a slow direction.
That's exactly what we as older women want to do: Age slowly - and gracefully - and well.
